Focus on the Fabulous
We are excited to roll out the Center Consolidated School District Ownership Plan this week, to our families and the community. CCSD has been focused on aligning our district initiatives and clearly defining what it means to be a Viking in our Graduate Profile. The Ownership celebration will take place on Thursday, March 7th @ 5:30 pm, during Parent Teacher Conferences. Dinner will be provided for the community from 5:00- 6:00 pm. There will be a short presentation at 5:30 pm, reviewing the district focus areas and the characteristics of a Viking Graduate.
Rewind
Core Belief #2- With our support, ALL students can achieve at high levels and be successful in life. Maria Villagomez did an excellent job of capturing a variety of those supports in action this past week. From students engaged in fun relationship-building activities to restorative circles, sensory rooms, and lunch check-ins, Center staff is committed to supporting each student based on their individual needs.
We were very excited to get our infant staff daycare open this past week. We have three little ones who are being taken care of in the new room, along with two new staff members joining the Viking team. Welcome to Flor Aguilar and Samantha Gajewski! If you ever need a mood boost during the day, just take a stroll out to our staff daycare rooms. The little ones are all it takes to put a smile on your face!
We are proud of our Lady Vikings for a successful basketball season. They once again made it to the playoffs. They played a tough game against Sedgwick County, but unfortunately, their season ended with that game. The final score was 35-51. The girls ended the year with a winning record overall and for the 9th year in a row, they competed at the regional level.
