Focus on the Fabulous
Happy March 1st! Wow! It’s hard to believe that we are already in March. Time flies when you are having fun! We are in our 8th week of the 3rd quarter. The quarter will end on March 16th, right before Spring Break. We are gearing up for Parent Teacher Conferences that will be held next week on Wednesday, March 8th, and Thursday, March 9th.
As we all know, in April we enter into the throes of state testing. We have been intentional about our instruction this year and I have been impressed with all the great things going on in classrooms from day one. Let’s keep that level of commitment, and sense of urgency, and make the most of our time each day to ensure that our kids are getting high-quality, focused instruction each minute of the day! Our purpose is to increase academic achievement for ALL students!
Rewind
Last week we celebrated our amazing staff with our staff appreciation week! I’ve heard a lot of positive feedback from people about the services that were available and all the special treats. Thanks to the R & R team for doing such a great job coordinating the event.. and everybody else that pitched in to pull everything together! We are fortunate to have the great team that we have and we want to make sure everybody feels valued for the work that they do!
Students had the opportunity to have a variety of experiences on Thursday so that staff could work together on our continuous improvement efforts.
Thanks to Katrina and her team for going above and beyond to organize the day and provide our students with some fun, educational experiences, from kindergarten to high school!
We had a group of approximately 40 staff attend the retreat at Mt. Princeton from Thursday through Saturday. The building-level teams worked on forwarding the boulder work that we identified this summer and that we have been working on throughout the year. It was great to see the teams work together, discuss, struggle, and make specific plans to continue our improvement efforts.
